I WAS AFRAID...

I WAS AFRAID

I was young and naïve; big dreams in my small head
I knew where I was headed; colourful future in my monochrome mind
I saw just the destination; not any swerve, not any bend
I heard motivational speakers say I have to leave the past behind

I was afraid...

I didn’t really pay attention; I thought I deserved the bed of roses
I quickly learnt what life taught; nobody owes me nothing
I stared right at my red sea; I had to become my Moses
Going back isn’t an option when your dreams start calling

I was afraid...

I held on tightly to the mental picture, forging through the storm
I was shocked; Belief, Determination, and focus weren’t enough
I lost, I cried, I learnt, and almost forgot where I was coming from
I realized and remembered the saying “When the going gets tough...”

I was afraid...

I came to the world a prince, but I learnt to swing the sword
I always wanted more; so I couldn’t, when others stopped
I can achieve it, if my mind can conceive it; and that was the word
I heard that and knew one day I’ll be standing at the top

I was(n’t) afraid...

I steadied my sling and picked up some skills
I was ready to either overcome my fears or die trying
I locked myself with my Goliaths, and adrenalin replaced the chills
I took them down one after the other, that Spartan feeling

I AM NOT AFRAID!!!

WHY I THINK YOU SHOULD WATCH THE MONEY FIGHT

As much as I know, even though I might not know much, no boxing match has stirred more controversy than today’s match between Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr and  Connor “Notorious” McGregor aka "THE MONEY FIGHT". I’ll try to watch this fight, and I think if you can, you should watch it too. Let me tell you why.

This fight features Floyd Mayweather, a professional undefeated boxing mastermind over the course of 49 boxing matches, against someone who’ll be making his professional boxing debut, coming from boxing’s more brutal “cousin” – UFC. But before you hiss and ask what he was thinking when he decided to step into the boxing ring with Mayweather, let me give you a hint.

If fights are won by polls, we can all just declare Connor the winner already, as he’s presently leading Mayweather on Google Polls, 44% – 56% from about 200,000 votes and sports bookers claim a large percentage of people are putting their money on Connor (crazy right?). So what makes this fight interesting after all these?... More like why do I think you should watch it?

1. History
For decades to come, people will make reference to this fight and tell their (grand) children “I remember in 2017 when a guy without any boxing experience stepped into the ring with an undefeated boxing champion. You should’ve seen it. It was epic and then they’ll use the result of the fight to conclude the rest of the talk. This is not just a fight, this is history in the making.

2.  Morale Boosting
If you ever think Connor “Notorious” McGregor is insane for accepting this challenge, you’re not alone. But what you can boost your morale with is the fact that in life, you have to recognize that sometimes, when you lose, you still win. If Usain Bolt decides to play tennis against Rafael Nadal and loses, the fact that he played alone is a win in a loss. You get?

3. Challenge Yourself
A lot of people think Connor would win this fight and I guess it’s simply because he accepted to fight in the first place. If he goes on to win, then you have one more reason to ask yourself what you mean by “I’m not sure I can do this” whenever you want to embark on a new challenge. Watch the fight with mindset of challenging yourself.

4. Life Lessons
I’m not much of a boxing fan (I’ll rather watch F1 or even Long Jump), but I watch it from time to time. One thing I that intrigues me is the life lessons I draw out from boxing. One important lesson I’ve learnt from boxing is that sometimes to beat your opponent (competition), you have to think like them, understand them, and (literally) beat them (thanks to Mohammed Ali).

5. Relax
Watching two people burst their faces with energetic punches might not be the best way to relax, but oh well, any excuse to return to the front of the TV eh?... So enjoy the match and relax with a cold drink. The blows wouldn’t affect you, money also wouldn’t. But the lessons should.

Cheers!

YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIFE?!

Let’s quickly paint a picture. Ready?

Assume you’re walking down a lonely road and someone walks up to behind you from nowhere, and then whispers “Your money or your life” we both can guess what your first reaction would be, even without looking back. Have you ever asked yourself this “Jamb Question”: “Who was the first person to use that phrase?” Or you think thieves had a meeting and a long time ago, and they brainstormed on what to say to announce their presence, and then came up with that phrase? I personally don’t think so.

The point here is, the moment you hear that phrase, without much strings attached to your thoughts, you know it’s most likely time for “business”(don’t mind me), except someone is messing around. The same way, the moment you hear or see some other words or features, you automatically know what they stand for. The reason this is, is simply because those brands have found what makes them unique. So the question here is – What Makes Your Brand Unique (and Relatable)?

What makes your tribe bubble and come alive when it’s said or shown? Churches especially understand this principle and sometimes, through what some members say, through how they appear, or maybe a phrase that replaces a greeting, you can almost immediately tell which church they belong to. It’s a principle of rapport which can be applied to your business. Believe it or not, it can invariable cause a boost in your brand presence, but more importantly profit margin.

If we were to play a game of “First Thing That Comes To Mind”, when I mention Football, I’m sure you’ll probably blurt out Messi or Ronaldo. When I mention online shopping in Nigeria, you’ll probably blurt out Jumia or Konga. When I mention TV stations in Nigeria, you’ll probably blurt out Channels or Silverbird. When I mention bleaching cream, you’ll probably… never mind (that answer might be ‘risky’) but you get the drift.

That is a milestone we should all be looking to cross in business and trust me, we should selfishly be aiming to make our brand names, the first name that comes to mind, when the goods and/or services we offer are mentioned; such that even by just our slogans, our brand names will be known. Hate it or love it, when I say “everywhere you go” you know what I’m talking about (especially because those guys don’t go anywhere.. Lol!).

As a business person, if you haven’t started thinking that big, you had better. If your brand is there already, don’t forget us in your kingdom.

Thank you for your time. Cheers!

7 TIPS TO OVERCOME WRITER'S BLOCK

A writer’s nightmare, a tunnel that has turned into an abyss for many a few writers who innocently lacked the right information on the exact thing to do to unwind themselves from the feeling of being trapped in their own heads – the frustrating and depressing feeling of the Writer’s Block. There is no experienced writer anywhere in the world who does not know what writer’s block is, just that you might have experienced it without knowing what to call what you’re experiencing. But as a writer, writer’s block at some point is as sure as breathing in oxygen whether you’re awake or asleep.

There are various kinds of Writer’s Block, ranging from you not being able to come up with any idea, just staring blankly at your computer or notepad to having the ideas in your head not being able to write it down or not feeling you have the right words to convey the message, to getting stuck in the middle of a project. But as it’s rightly said, lack of information could leave you in a state of deformation. Hence, this vital piece of information on how to navigate your way out of Writer’s Block and be rest assured that these seven tips does work.

1. Take a break – Your brain might be bored without you even knowing it and this could cause a jam in your thought-flow. Reading and Writing are one of the few things that bore the brain easily and one of the best ways this can be tackled is changing your activity. Stare at the ceiling, watch some videos, take a walk, make some phone calls, and so on.

2. Write something else – Take a break from your main project, and just pick up a pen and begin scribbling things down. No forethoughts, no grammar, no structure, probably not even punctuations and paragraphs. Just give it a free-flow or freestyle. This clears your jam while not totally taking you out of the zone. This works most times when you feel your work load is more than you.

3. Task your mind – Similar to doing something else, task your mind or do something creative. Paint a picture, edit some photos either on your photo editor or photoshop, do some knitting, repair some stuffs, Work in the garage, play games. This personally works for me. Doing this helps you jump the road block just in front of the creative areas of your mind.

4. Sleep in thought – Creative thinking at bedtime also helps in overcoming writer’s block. “Think before you sleep” is a technique I’ve successfully used on a number of occasions. Thinking about what your project entails just as you’re about to doze off definitely works, especially if your project is a story. Personalize the characters; you could even put yourself in the plot and so on. That moment before bedtime is one of the best times to do that.

5. Early bird technique – Believe it or not, your writing flows better in the morning. I mean around 4am – 8am. At that time, your brain is still in some charged up level and you explore your imaginative areas more just after you wake up. This is just a fact you personally might not agree with but test it over time and you’ll realize what I call “the early bird” technique is actually very real.

6. Edit some write-ups – Editing some of your old write-ups, definitely helps overcome Writer’s Block. Skim through the pages and change the words, the structure/plot or both. Something like examining yourself. This method I must say doesn’t work for every writer and doesn’t work all the time, from my personal experience.

7. Don’t force it – This is arguably the most important step. Don’t force working on a project you feel jammed on. You could be doing more harm than good by flogging your brain to work. You don’t want to experience the pathetic sabbatical effect of the aftermath of forcing a project out of your Writer’s Block. It’s really one of the worst nightmares a writer could face.

Writer’s block, though isn’t funny but once you can master your zone, you can easily wriggle your way out of it in no time at all and implementing these tips would hopefully also help in pulling you out of it… But remember, don’t force it.

Thanks for your time.

FOCUS ON THE PRACTICE

Reading through the story of Mark Pollock, just made me remember that there was something I almost forgot I was going to share here and let me use this medium to apologise for going AWOL for such a long while. Back to the story, Google is your friend if you don’t know who Mark Pollock is. (Lol!).

Did you watch last year's Paralympics? I can say I’ve never really paid much attention to the Paralympics sports like I did the last one, last year. For some reason beyond me, I got almost as fascinated to the Paralympics as the Olympics. You just sometimes have to admire these ‘special’ athletes and how much work they’ve put into competing at such level. Oh… and yes, Nigeria had more medals in at the last Paralympics than the only medal we won at the Olympics *shade* (Lol!)

The thing that struck me most about the Paralympics is the sight of the blind athletes. ‘sight of the blind athletes?’ (that’s no typo). Let me explain – The 100 meters, 200 meters and general track and fields was a sight to behold. Of course, you could easily detect that there was something about the athletes but how exactly does a blind runner dips his head forward at the finish line of a race? If you think I’m kidding, check out any Paralympics race on YouTube. Only one answer does it for me – PRACTICE.

The same way as you’ll jog up a flight of stairs in the dark in your house, the same flight of stairs that would require a visitor to use both hands and feet to climb is the same way those guys automatically know where the finish line is. They’ve practiced over and over till their disability turned to ‘this-ability’ (the Paralympics theme). What are your own weaknesses? How many times have you allowed distractions stop you from working on these weaknesses? If you can work and groom that particular ‘disability’, you’ll eventually over time, turn it to a ‘this-ability’.

By reading the in-depth stories of some famous inventors, I’ve realized that you are impermissible to distractions when your focus is top notch. Thomas Edison, the famous inventor, is partially deaf; a condition he developed since about 11 years old, and died with. When asked about why he didn’t seek medical aid (after all, he could very well afford it), he said he had not thought about seeking a cure to it, since he enjoyed it. “Being deaf allows me to fully focus on my research” he replied.
Maximum concentration can never be attained when distractions are present.

Let’s check around us for side attractions because when you hear the word ‘side attractions’ just immediately understand that it’s a fancy word for ‘distractions’. You can’t afford to divert your focus, thoughts and energy from your goals to ‘side attractions’. They don’t only have the potential of making you end up with much less than you deserve, they have the potential of making you end up with nothing – don’t forget the saying about the rolling stone.

While distractions create a disability, Focus creates a ‘this-ability’.

Focus makes you blind – you become blind to distractions and become unable to compromise. Focus makes you deaf – you become deaf to the side talks and negative words of discouragement around you.

Focus paralyses you – you become unable to willingly move in the direction of an alternative path – inability to compromise.

Focus makes you numb – you become numb to the pain, the setbacks, the challenges, the sweat and the many hours of practice and sacrifice.

I could go on and on but I’ll just say, without Focus, you can’t ever be really good at anything. Focus is an amplifier – the more you focus on something (practice), the more the chances of you being the master of that thing. When focus is present, it is not over until your desired outcome is reached; hence failure is never an option.

The importance of the ‘this-ability’ of FOCUS cannot be over-emphasized. You know when your mind is out of focus, even your eyes would deceive you.

Have a nice day.

Cheers!

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

How difficult is it being a woman?

Yes, the question is rhetorical. But have you ever imagined how many females we’ll have in the world if you could choose your gender before being given birth to (especially when you’re given the “terms and conditions” manual to read before making your choice). Hmm… Thank God gender is one of the individual unique factors beyond a person’s choice.

It’s not very arguable that as much as societal expectations, gender segregation, cultural pressure, and so on is relative worldwide, growing up as a female in Africa comes with probably unprecedented additional baggage. Thanks to the deep rooted cultural beliefs, being on the “other” side of civilization, and the many centuries of resistance to fundamental understanding of gender parity and appreciation.

Not many examples would be given but in a continent where a woman is constantly mocked for not tying the nuptial knot at a certain age. Where she’s termed a “Witch” for giving birth to three children of her own gender in a row, and told to step aside to allow another woman into the home come deliver the heir of the family isn’t only ridiculous. It just takes wind out of a lot of “knowledgeable” sails…

Woman, if you’ve ever been made to see yourself as the weaker vessel, trust me, you are not! Why? Simply because you are stronger than everyone thinks. Ever wondered why Nature isn’t referred to as “Father Nature?” Ever wondered why God, even though was creating a companion for the first man (even took some part of him), didn’t ask for his opinion while at work but rather made him “chill out” in a deep sleep? Ever wondered why there are more women on the surface of the earth than men?

It has been evident, and would continue to be evident that the expectations, the boundaries, the limitations, the classification, and so on… that would ever define a woman would be the ones she chooses to accept. So with that said, Woman, understand that your physical strength may not be on the same level compared to the opposite gender (how much strength was Goliath able to use), you may from birth have constantly heard the phrase “Don’t you know you are a woman?”, you may have grown up with a whole lot of societal, cultural, and psychological pressure but…

Trust me, you are made a woman because you have the power to carry that form. You are unique and you have the power to chart your own course. You are not wired as a dependent being in any ramification. Your inner strength is unmatched, your intellectual prowess is unlimited. You are made for so much more; and your “womanity” is not just a blessing but also the heartbeat of humanity. The society doesn’t understand the extent of your purpose; your background tries to define your limits.

Woman, you are beautifully and wonderfully made. You cannot allow yourself to be weighed on the scale of pity. You are so unique, your uniqueness is yet to be fully understood. You don’t have to vie for power – You are power personified. There are no glass ceilings, no segregations, no limitations, no boundaries, and no stigma. You are a woman and it means that YOU, my friend, are ENOUGH.

Happy International Women’s Day!

DO I JUST MIND MY OWN BUSINESS?

The story you’re about to read is Christian’s but not about Christian. Chris is 15, he stays in Victoria Island, Lagos and he's the last child in a family of 3 – He has an elder sister (or eldest, if you like), and an immediate elder brother; 21 and 19 respectively. They are from the eastern part of Nigeria and they are well-to-do. (You can rightly guess of course; Judging from the part of Lagos they chose to stay).

The family is a strictly nuclear family, without open doors to any uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, or nephews – oh except the house maid (don’t shift your eyebrows just yet). The said house help doesn’t stay in the premises though; Chris’s dad rented a small room self-contain for her, just down the street. Probably, because of stories he has heard about house helps and the children of their employers.

According Chris, he hoped the maid was living with them though, ‘cos at least, he probably would have someone to talk to and not bear the burden all alone ‘cos he’s indeed in a dilemma. Here’s where the story gets a little bit twisted.

Four years ago, precisely on the morning of Chris’s 10th birthday, around 5am, he had gone to ease himself and on his way back to his own room, an unusual sound from his brother’s room suddenly caught his attention. He shrugged and thought he was probably playing his video games or something.

But something stirred his curiosity and he turned, made his way into his brother’s room and switched on the light. Lo and Behold, Joseph and Emmanuella (his siblings) were stark naked, doing what he had only seen flashes of, on TV. They quickly covered themselves up and Joseph shouted at him to GET OUT! and close the door.

He was really confused and as he journeyed back to his bedroom, he kept trying to wrap his head around what he saw. He couldn’t quite confirm if it was his imagination or he indeed saw what he thought he saw. Joseph got him a PSP as his birthday present and confirmed it was not his imagination, by telling him not to tell anyone what he saw, or he’ll collect the PSP back.

Oh well, who cares what he saw? – Is he even sure what he saw? Please just leave matter for martyrs and let him enjoy his gaming device. Emmanuella on the other hand never said anything to him about it and even though on like 5 other occasions, spread over the space of 4 years, he’d heard similar noises from his brother’s room, he never gathered enough courage to walk towards the door, let alone opening it.

Last week was his 15th birthday and Joseph, who recently gained admission into University of Lagos had promised to wake him by pouring messy water on him. Hence, his plan was to wake up early and burst his elder bro's plans before he executes them. He woke up early as planned and quickly made his way to his brother’s room but just Like Déjà vu, he simply burst in to meet his siblings in the same shameful naked position, as four years ago, having a time of their lives.

This time, he didn't wait to be shouted on. He rushed back out immediately in tears. What he saw didn't only ruin his day, but it left him with a lot of unanswered questions. Questions like: “How come for all these years, his parents haven’t noticed anything?” “How long exactly have his siblings been this disgusting?” “Should he tell his parents?” “What if they don’t believe him?” “Should he just leave them and mind his own business?”

Right now, he’s really confused with no clear path to take about the matter in sight.

So dear reader, what would you suggest Chris does?

What do you think?

MMT / WCW - TOPE ALABI

Hello Guys,
I’m so excited because it’s our first Woman Crush Wednesday - WCM on MMT and for those of us who’ve been living under a cave (*shade*), It simply means we’ll be picking out a female celebrity and celebrating them (Lol!). We’ll also be delving into a bit of their profile, and stating a few reasons why we love them as much as we do. So, straight to bi’ness (Yeup!).

**********

Our first WCW on MMT is no other person than the multiple award winner and multi-platinum singer – Tope Alabi. *Yaay!*

Let’s do you the favour of bringing you closer to her, just so you know why we love her so much (to make her the pioneer WCW on MMT).

Patricia Temitope Alabi, the only daughter of 3 children, was born on the 27th October, 1970 in Lagos State, Nigeria. She hails from Ogun state; Yewa, Imeko precisely. She schooled in Ibadan, after which she proceeded to obtain a degree in Mass Communication at The Polytechnic, Ibadan and graduated in the year 1990. (the name of that Polytechnic though)... Moving on.

Tope Alabi pursued her educational attainment with all seriousness and dedication it deserves because her parents were disciplinarians of the highest order. She however opted to join “The Jesters International” (Jacob, Papilolo & Aderupoko) during her secondary school days, between 1982 and 1984. Mainly because of her passion for music and drama.

After her graduation, she worked as a correspondent for NTA Ibadan, before moving to Lagos between 1990 and 1991, where she worked at NTA Channel 7 Tejuosho (Now NTA Channel 10, Lagos) between. She worked with Centrespread Advertising Limited, Ilupeju, Lagos; and a few other outfits. In 1994, she joined “Aromire Theatre Group” and used that as her much needed come back into the Theater Art profession.

That decision turned out to be one of her best decisions, as she was able to distinguish herself as a musician and actress. From then on, it has been from one step to another without looking back. She was (still has been) involved in various film productions, stage drama and most importantly the soundtrack production with which she was well known and considered as an authority in the Nigeria Yoruba Movie industry.

Tope Alabi is considered by many as the biggest gospel musician in Nigeria, with her songs been recycled, year after year. It be noteworthy to state that Tope Alabi is the pacesetter of soundtracks in the Yoruba Home Video Industry. She has to her credit to date, about 400 soundtracks which she had composed for various Yoruba movies. She also has 5 music albums to her credit and over 50 tracks.

Her hit tracks include… All her songs are hits jhor!

She’s probably the most heard voice on Instagram, as her song “Aye Le” has been used in over 300 funny Instagram skits – some of which aren’t even done by Nigerians.

So that’s it for our WCW guys, next time you hear “Aye Le” on Instagram, just know that lady up there contributed in making you laugh.

Can you guess who our next WCW would be?

Here's the popular "Aye Le" video:

Cheers.

WHAT DO YOU WANT?

So, I was in an eatery some time ago, when a gentleman walked in. It was lunch hour, so there were quite a number of customers in front of the counter. Although there wasn’t a line, the attendants were trying really hard to ensure every customer was being attended to in time.

This gentleman strolls to the counter, places his left elbow on the counter, stands sideways with his right hand in his pocket and lets out a nice smile. He had such charisma, you would think he probably owned the place.

“So what would you like for lunch sir?” A light skinned lady asked, holding an empty plate in her left hand.

“Hmmm… what do you have?” He replied with his charming smile.

“Anything you can think of for lunch… or here, just go through the menu” the lady replied pointing upwards. Apparently, there was the menu board, tagged to the top of the counter.

“You know what?... I’m too hungry to start racking my brain about the menu. Just give me anything”
Without saying a word, the lady took the next person’s order, then the next person, then the next. The man had at this time removed his phone from his pocket and was scrolling through

“This man isn’t hungry at all. He should just leave the counter for other hungry folks” I thought like it’s any of my business. I was almost done with my own meal.

Hardly had I finished poke-nosing that the man raised his face.

“What the hell is this?!... What’s wrong with you people?!... I’ve literally been standing here for 20 minutes! Is this how you treat your customers?! Is there a manager I can speak to?!...”

The man went from 0 – 100 real quick. From Charming smile to “Where’s my food?!” in millisecond (Oh… so he was actually hungry. Lol!)

You see most of us in life are just like this man. We get to the counter and rather than place a specific demand, we demand for anything. Then we get worked up and frustrated when we try to get anything and we get nothing.

If only we could look around with insight and realize life sometimes flashes the question – WHAT DO YOU WANT?

Most of us have replies that sound like:

“I want to make it” – Make what? Tea?

“I want to be very rich” – Really? Can I give you N200? (You’ll be N200 richer than before)

“I want to get to the top” – Top of which tree?

“I want to be blessed” – Are you fellowshipping for the first time?

Our subconscious, which connects to the forces in the universe and controls a lot in the process of goal setting and goal getting, doesn’t actually understand vaguely set goals. Replies like those above result to NOTHING (apologies about the “blessing” part but it’s the truth).

When setting goals, let’s make it definitive and time bound. Let’s put specifics on it and give it a deadline. How about replies like:

“I’ll make products that sell for N20k upwards before the next six months”

“I want to make N5M profit by 31/12/2017”

“I want to buy a new car before the end of next month”

“I want to be the MD of my workplace by March 2019”

You’ll realize that goals set this way becomes clearer to work with; hence, faster to accomplish. Set the goals before you focus on the “How”. You’ll start to see opportunities where you previously haven’t seen anything, or have seen just problems. Have your answer ready ‘cos life can at any time ask you the question: WHAT DO YOU WANT?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAYBEE

I've learnt quite a number of lessons in this my one life I've lived (especially between last year and now). Some of which I shared with my virtual family on Facebook, via a platform called Showmanship. I was the Showman, and I'll quickly just share with us some of the things I shared here.

I think everyone should know and keep these points in mind, to make life's journey one with less friction. I'll be reminding myself these 7 points as often as I can. You may want to try it too. Here we go:

1. Never think "those" previous years are wasted or insignificant. The years past are what have summed up to form your moulding blocks, and you wouldn't be where you are now, without being there first.

2. You are exactly where God wants you to be. Don't look at another person's time and start turning the hands of your clock. We all are operating in our individually unique timezone. Obama left office at 55, Trump entered at 70 - Different timezone.

3. Have an attitude of Thankful reflection. There is something to learn from every experience you go through in life. If you can't find the good in that seemingly bad experience, then just know that however bad, it could have been worse.

4. Everyone has what they've been through in the past, that has formed the basis of how they think and act presently. Rather than judge people based on their actions, why not take time to understand them and know why they act the way they do.

5. Nobody owes you anything. Whatever you want out of life should be demanded by you. Life is not fair and you cannot bleach it. You don't expect anyone to give you anything. You need go get whatever you want,

6. Amoshine when Amoshine, and you gon shine when you gon shine. If your neighbour is shining, then be happy cos it's his time to shine. Don't be envious or turn to a "poke-nosa" (Lol!). When your time comes, people will have to wear shades to look at you - "Your Time".

7. Find your domain and dominate it. Whales are not expected to dominate the sky and eagles will die if they decide to compete in Aquatic Animals Olympics. Find YOUR anchor and destroy YOUR dungeon. That way achievement comes without stress.

Meanwhile, Jaybee, I wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Long Life and prosperity in good health, clean joyful wealth and overflowing peace. May every door you approach automatically open (yes, like motion sensor doors). God bless you today, tomorrow, and forever for the rest of your life.

Go put a dent on the universe you super powered weirdo!

Have fun and enjoy a great one.

Cheers!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone, may this day bring us more of not only love, but peace, happiness, tolerance, and understanding. May our relationships continue to get better, stronger, and like the wine, get sweeter with as time goes by. Cheers!

*Wears mischievous sunshades*

The couple's greeting has ended - Continue reading at your own discretion. because from here downwards isn't the general Happy Valentine's Day shoutout.

Happy Valentine's Day to all the single peeps out there, who are of age, but have refused to be pressured into going into a relationship by friends, colleagues, relatives, and even parents. We deserve the best when we eventually find someone who we want to settle with - Life would agree with us.

Happy Valentine's to all those who have lost their partners. If we decide to remain single in their honour, then we have done the right thing and it simply indicates how strong our love was, when we had them around. If we also decide to go into a relationship, may life give us someone who would do far much better than our departed partner.

Happy Valentine's to all single parents out their who have been abandoned by their partners or supposed partners. If we are sure we truly did nothing wrong, then it's just a matter of time before true love finds us. Earth's law of getting what we give is sure to reward us with the love that will make us rise above our present state.

Finally, Happy Valentine's Day to all the guys/girls who are in relationships to test the waters, and never giving it their all. When our heart is broken, we'll say all men are scum or all women are trash. We won't confess how we were doing like Wi-Fi signal bar, rising and falling all through the relationship. We easily forget that relationships take testing the waters with both feet.

May we change from today and enjoy true love... and if it turns bad, may we have enough strength to dust ourselves and move on.

Happy Valentine Everyone.

THE CRYPT - INTRO

From Generations to Generations,

From Clans to Clans,

The War has waged on with no end in sight.

The brotherhood of Darkness and all its cohorts,

Watches us closely with prying eyes.

Sharpening their weapons - the old tools,

The Grim reaper, boogie man, weeping widow, and other ancient fools.

Dying to see what against their forces, the force of light can do.

The time is almost upon us, you knights of day.

Night draws closer, the implications are needless to say.

Gather your weapons, we go to war again.

For the sake of earth, we need to keep the dark force at bay.

*Weapons Clanging, Knights Roaring*

This time, we take the war to them, else at our doorsteps they deliver mayhem!

This time they taste the wrath of our flames from the edge of our blades!

This time our strikes are mortal, and finally for good we shut the portal!

This time we bring terror and fear to the gates!

It is time warriors!

WELCOME TO THE GATE OF THE CRYPT !!!
